2019 Red Barn Red

Aged for 9 months in both French and American oak barrels This wine is smooth and easy drinking with notes of candied cherries, fresh berries, violet and a touch of vanilla spice from oak on the nose. The spice carries through on the palate with cherry notes. The fruit will evolve over the course of 9-10 months. Pair with spice rubbed meats, hearty stews or chocolate.

*** Please note this wine should be decanted before serving.  It has some dissolved CO2 from being cold in a tank prior to bottling, this will settle out as it ages over the next few months. It’s giving the wine a slight spritz on the tongue, there is nothing wrong with the wine. It also might not taste as sweet as prior vintages and this is another effect of the dissolved CO2, this will soften as well.
